Our Current Procedures:

As we look forward to welcoming you back to our park, we want to share the procedural changes we have made in response to the Coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic for your safety and the safety of our incredible staff. We remain committed to providing a fun, safe, and healthy environment, therefore we have diligently researched the health department and Center for Disease Control Prevention CDC guidelines to ensure our practices, as detailed below, exceed the minimum standard Health protocols.

  1. Reservations: Reservations and payment prior to your arrival are required. Credit/Debit/Gift card payments are accepted by phone or e-commerce/booking online. Same-day reservations may be available. Please call to inquire 518.494.7200
  2. Capacity: A limited number of customers will be departing every half-hour to ensure social distancing of 10ft between families/groups. We are currently operating under 70% capacity.
  3. Face-Masks. Each climber is required to wear a face-covering upon check-in during harnessing procedures as well as walking throughout the pathways in our park (not while climbing). i.e. mask, fabric scarf, hoo-rag, bandana etc. If you do NOT have a face-mask one will be provided at cost. Refusal to wear a mask is considered non-compliance and will require you to leave the park immediately.
  4. Gloves: Fingerless climbing gloves are available for purchase but NOT required. We do allow you to bring your own gloves provided they are tight-fitting and appropriate.
Our courses are monitored by guides from the ground to enforce social distancing rules. We will be increasing our guide staff to ensure we maintain adequate monitoring.
  5. Distancing: Our CLiC-iT Smart Belay safety equipment system does NOT allow for passing – so climbers stay in the order in which they begin for optimum self-social distancing. Social distancing guidelines will be practice by everyone while on the ground or in the trees. Families will be able to stay in their “bubbles” together but must remain distanced from those climbers who are not.
  6. Restrooms: Our restrooms will be open. Frequent touchpoints to be cleaned every half-hour.
  7. Sanitization: Harnesses are thoroughly sanitized between each use. Thorough equipment, gear, and facility cleaning to be deployed daily and includes:

Sanitizing of all common areas and touchpoints. Tables, floors, doors/door handles, benches, railings, counters etc.

We have enhanced gear-harness cleaning. All reusable gear is cleaned between each use with disinfectant wipes as well as “Clear Gear.” a sports gear cleanser that disinfects, deodorizes, and removes potentially harmful bacteria from sports gear and PPE equipment. All commonly touched surfaces (door handles, countertops, will be wiped down after each departure time. Hand sanitizing stations will be positioned throughout the facility for frequent hand cleaning. We do NOT serve prepared food or beverages. Pre-packaged foods and drinks will be for sale on a self-serve check-out.

8. Food Service. We do NOT serve prepared food or beverages. Pre-packaged foods and drinks will be for sale on a self-serve check-out.
9. Covid-19 Screening: All welcome center staff and Treetop guides will be screened with temperature checks and all staff and guests will be screened with a COVID-19 exposure questionnaire prior to contact with anyone.
10. Staff Training: The Adirondack Extreme team has been trained on appropriate cleaning disinfectant and hygiene and employees will wash or sanitize their hands between each interaction with customers.
